Responsibilities

Key Summary Contribute to the key Performance Indicator of the Division and work actively to achieve the KORIs Work actively with Team Heads to achieve satisfactory audit review for all daily processes Work actively with Teams Heads to support new covenant / credit conditions verification process Work actively with Teams Heads to meet SLA turnaround time for daily processes Actively participate in Quality, Efficiency, Productivity (QEP) initiatives, Gen AI initiatives etc Work actively with Teams Heads to ensure risk and controls processes are complied Operations Perform daily review of facility agreements and letter of offers against approved credit applications Perform daily independent verification of covenants (i.e. financial covenants, time-dependent covenants, security covenants and Environmental, Social and Governance conditions) against source documents and ensure compliance Perform independent review marked-to-market of pawnshop borrowers and meet the cut-off time Perform monthly reporting to BU for overdue, breached credit conditions-credit milestones-covenants overdue, covenant breaches Compliance / Quality Control Ensure strict compliance with banking secrecy guidelines Ensure compliance with bank’s policies and procedures, operational controls and audit requirement Ensure all internal workflow procedures and its control measures are strictly adhered to Assist Team Head on ad-hoc projects or attend ad-hoc project meetings for new covenants, credit conditions and credit milestones. Review all exceptions reports and ensure all required follow-up actions are taken promptly Customer Service Management Ensure efficient and quality service is rendered to BUs as per Service Level Agreement (SLA) Follow up on outstanding issues, complaints and queries from BU / Credit / MO and provide resolutions promptly and satisfactorily Escalate to Section Head / Team Head on all complaints and complex issues and suggest resolutions

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in related discipline. At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in wholesale and retail lending, credit, treasury and trade operational processes and possesses areas of expertise in retail credit operations, regulatory and legal compliance. Equipped with functional and technical expertise required to perform core aspects of the job, including sound knowledge of lending, credit, treasury and trade financing, regulations (including MAS Notice 637, MAS Notice 642 etc.) and legal guidelines. Proven track record in managing a sizeable operation team with strong exposure to both retail and wholesale credit lending, and knowledge of relevant application systems. Well-developed leadership, communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and to work under challenging and demanding circumstances to meet deadlines. Relevant experience in Regulatory Reporting, Credit Control in Bank’s wholesale loan products, verification of covenants / credit conditions / credit milestones (i.e. financial covenants, time-dependent covenants, security covenants and Environmental, Social and Governance conditions) for compliance, process workflows and operations procedures will be an added advantage. Able to provide good operations and administration support to Team Head Good integrity, responsible, reliable and conscientious Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively with stakeholders Computer literacy Strong analytical, problem-solving skill, project management skills and operational risks control skill Have a good understanding of financial statements / financial spreading and financial ratios Sound regulatory knowledge with database management skills including Oracle skills is an advantage. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and to work under challenging and demanding circumstances to meet deadlines.
