The team leads the design, implementation and oversight of credit risk policies and frameworks, ensuring lending practices remain aligned with strategic objectives and risk appetite. Leveraging portfolio reporting, data analytics and industry insights, the team delivers informed risk assessments and supports sound decision making across the lending lifecycle. Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility In this role you will lead a small team of credit risk professionals to evolve home lending credit risk policies, with in-depth consideration of risk, reward, customer and employee experience. You will bring a strong understanding of residential lending credit risk and how it is effectively operationalised in an increasingly automated environment. You will identify and investigate trends and insights from internal and external data to understand risks, identify where policy can be optimised, and contribute to projects that support strategic initiatives across the credit risk lifecycle. You will work in close collaboration with the Personal Banking ecosystem, including Product, Technology, Operations, Treasury, Sales and Line 2 Risk to ensure our policies, processes and systems are driving continuous improvement and effective risk management outcomes. Experience in credit underwriting, having held a delegated lending authority Strong knowledge of credit risk policies, risk appetite frameworks and governance. Proven track record of leading change across multiple teams, including a sound knowledge of the systems and technology utilised in the application of policy frameworks Proven people leadership experience within a risk, credit or banking environment. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive policy optimisation. Experience managing reporting, data quality, automation and process improvements. Excellent communication skills, with strong stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively and operate effectively independently. Sound knowledge of ADI Prudential Standards, including APS220, ARS220, APS112, APS113, NCCP and BCOP.
